One-011 "ProtoType"

Thanks for stopping by and having a look! My goal with this(unsponsored) build was to leverage the airflow design of this case in conjunction with water cooling to get a clean, quiet and cool running build. My inspiration for this was a build done by GGF, but I changed the cooling layout, RGB, Custom wiring, etc. I realize this case is designed for air cooling, however one large advantage of this case is its ability to run 9 case fans with a 90-degree card mount. This is not possible in the 011 Dynamic due to the front glass panel and the mounting of the pump on the bottom of the case. The 90-degree card mount really showcases the beauty of the EVGA Hydro copper water block. It also does a great job of covering up ugly wiring at the bottom of the MOBO such as the USB 3.0 header and other front panel interconnects.

Cooling is a full custom water loop with two 360 radiators, a DDC pump, EK CPU block and an EVGA GPU block. The control system for the cooling is an Aqua Computer Quadro. This little device is truly amazing for its ability to control 9 fans, the pump and manage the temp sensors. (not to mention it can control LEDs, however I did not use that feature on this build). The Aqua suite water cooling fan curve and pump curve controller make this system run quiet and efficiently. A huge advantage of the Quadro is that once programmed it is pretty much a set it and forget it device. So, for those who are running multi operating systems it will run perfectly without having to install its software when running a different OS such as Linux.

The top radiator was relocated by drilling out the case to move the radiator back towards the IO panel. This was done for two reasons, the first being that it was necessary to move the radiator back so the top fan on the front of the case would fit, and second to give clearance to one of the hard lines from the top radiator so that it didn't get blocked by the MOBO's IO panel. Moving the radiator required me to make a new bracket and trim up the plastic of the top cover so that it would fit. Also, the top of the case was drilled for fill and drain ports to ease coolant change.

Custom wiring was done to clean up the case and to show off the clean look of black cable sleeves. For the most part all wires are simply modified to remove the bundled inline capacitors from the MOBO side and move them to the power supply side of the wire. Additionally, I rewired the pump, Quadro, and LEDs to run off the same 4 pin Molex-AMP connector stack. I leveraged the power split in the connector so that one Molex could power two items, one that ran on +5v and one that ran on +12v.

If you have any questions please let me know!
