I've been working on this stupid thing for about three years now and have had the concept in mind for much longer than that. While I've seen ammo can PCs before, it always stood out to me that I had never seen one done to it's full potential. A full custom loop, no hardware gimped in the name of thermals, a proper all out gaming rig in an ammo can. I wanted to maintain the image of "just an ammo can" as much as possible and went to every length possible to insure this. You'll notice the complete lack of fasteners anywhere other than on the back and bottom of the case. This was very intentional and made a few things somewhat difficult. I also wanted it to be completely portable without concern of easily damping it. I believe this was achieved.
On to specs and such. It's all built in a 55 round 25x137mm ammo can. These, as it turns out, can be difficult to get your hands on. Fortunately, a relative in the navy was able to get one off his ship for me. The feet are made from 20x102mm Vulcan shells. The hardware inside is:
-Intel Core i7 8700k @ 5GHz -Asus Strix Z370-I motherboard -Asus Strix 1080Ti @ 2070MHz -32GB HyperX Fury 2400MHz -1TB WD Black M.2 NVMe -1TB Samsung 850 Evo M.2 -Silverstone SX800-LTI -Custom cables from Mod-One -Noctua Industrial 3,000 RPM -Almost all cooling components from EK, with the exception being the fittings which are Bitspower. -UFO Technologies Cryo-Chillz coolant -CNC work done by Ismael Justiniano of KillR_MODZ
