Sorting the tubing runs before filling and leak testing. I got a bit carried away so the is the first picture of the Ultra Virus configuration.
Filled and stretching the CPUs legs a bit to check temps. Also getting a little RGB on the go (just set to static white to make watching for leaks easier).
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X fitted. Also messing about with fan layout.
Stripping the 1080 to fit the Kraken G12 and Corsair H55 (it felt so wrong pulling the 1080 to bits!)
Kraken and H55 fitted (nerves tested).
Oh thank God it works! UV led strips added as well as another RGB strip on the Kraken. I'll probably end up taking the UV cold cathodes out since they're just a pain to mount in a sensible place.
Its final form! Added a small fan to the VRM heat sink since it wasn't getting much airflow. The red LEDs round the perimeter are set to slowly breathing and the ones on the Kraken fade through an RGB loop.
Ultra Virus
This build has been a constant evolution. It's been upgraded and reconfigured so many times I've lost count. It's mostly built from used parts as and when they come up on a good deal. The important stuff I've bought new like storage, PSU, fittings and a few bits that I couldn't find used. The goal of Ultra Virus was to provide as much cooling as possible to the CPU since this is primarily an overclocking build (I am addicted). At present the most I can get out of my i7 3939k is 4.3Ghz stable (working on 4.5 but it's not quite there yet) but it's more than capable of high/ultra settings in most games. I may try and get a Xeon chip in the future as they tend to be better binned and might overclock higher.
