This build was done for friend who's an ER doc; when he's not in the ER, he's an avid gamer. He likes the steampunk aesthetic, so the plague doctor was an obvious choice. Prices aren't likely to get any better, so we went all-out on hardware for longevity's sake.

While performance was number one, he gave me free rein on modding/aesthetics. Mods are extensive, with almost everything being modded or customized in some way. The wood accents are real walnut. Take some time and zoom in on the pics - you'll find little mods scattered throughout.

The PSU cables are custom made with the exception of the GPU cable. I make all my own cables, but given the 5090's tendency to melt connectors I wanted to try Corsair's new ThermalProtect cable.
