My Main Build

This build was made at the beginning of 2024. I want to preface by saying that the European market has significantly different prices from those listed, and most of the components I chose were on sale. At the time, I was looking for a configuration to replace my old PC, so I opted for a build that would suit 2K gaming as much as possible. I would have gladly gone for a 4070 Super instead of my 4070, but the graphics card I included was discounted by 200 euros a few months before the release of the Super models, so it didn't seem like a bad choice.

As for the CPU, I preferred to go with a Ryzen 5 7600 (non-x) rather than a 7800x3d because my games aren't particularly CPU-heavy, and this choice still allowed me to choose an AM5 motherboard for future upgrades. Obviously, I preferred AMD over Intel, as AM5 will be relevant for several more years, unlike the new Intel chips.

For the motherboard, I opted for a Gigabyte Gaming X AX because I find it to be a real gem in terms of value for money. I know several excellent motherboards have been released recently, but it's hard to find one with similar performance for 170 euros. For RAM, I chose Vengeance 6000 MHz (2x16 GB) CL36, also on sale during the Amazon Prime period.

The rest of the choices were purely aesthetic: I tried to create a build alternating between black and white (I don't like builds that are all one color), and for the AIO, I bought a Deepcool LE720 (360mm), which for some reason I can't find on this site. Since I chose an NZXT H7 Flow case, I mounted the AIO on the top panel and placed 3 white Corsair 140mm fans on the front panel, providing strong airflow with less noise. The rear exhaust fan is also a Corsair 140mm.

The choice of the NZXT case stems from my preference for minimalistic designs, along with overall good craftsmanship. For the monitor, I managed to find an MSI 165Hz WQHD 27'' IPS, which normally retails for 550 euros, but I got it for 250. In the past years, I had an MSI FHD, so I simply went with a brand I trust, while the second monitor is an old HP that I use only for Discord and other secondary tasks.

The peripherals I use are: a FNATIC miniStreak keyboard, a FNATIC Bolt mouse, and SteelSeries Arctis Pro wired headphones.

To create a slight black-and-white contrast, I bought simple custom white cables from EzDiy Fab for the motherboard and GPU. No need to tell me that the color of my room is terrible—I’ve moved into a room that isn’t mine, and I’m already planning to change it.
