Really happy with how this has turned out. Obviously not all brought at once but has all been bought over the last couple of years bit by bit.
The 8086K has been delided so temps will peak at 67c under full load and will idle at around 26-31c. I am not really an overclocker so I just have it set to 5.1 which Is more than enough for what I use it for (manly games).
The 1080ti Poseidon is defiantly the best looking 1080 TI and with the added bonus of the built-in water block. I haven’t look at overclocking this at all so its just running stock speeds. Temps wish its great. Watercooled under load only see it max out at 51c but its average temp playing less demanding game will sit at around 39c. Its been a long while since I had it running on air cooling, but I do remember I would regally venture into the high 70’s and low 80’s. Not planning on upgrading to RTX and couldn’t justify the cost. However, if Asus where to release an RTX 2080ti Poseidon I will be very tempted.
Case, as soon as I heard that Phanteks were to release an updated version of the evolve I couldn’t wait. I was checking almost weekly on the forums to see if a release date had been announced. I Jumped on the preorder as soon as it was made available. I did take me awhile before I built in it though do to upgrading my open loop to hard-line tubes. The case was so nice to build in though, really easy cable management and plenty of room for everything. The case does look amazing once it’s finished, Phanteks have really done a great job listening to its community to make this case awesome.
Custom Loop, this is my first time building a hardline custom loop and I do admit it wasn’t easy bending all those tubes. That’s why I’ve just stuck to 90 bends. I did attempt a 180 bend for the motherboard to cpu block, but I just couldn’t get it to line up and I was running out of tubing. I would love to know any tips or tricks how to do those types of bends easier.
As a conclusion I’m really happy with my computer now and not planning on making any changes just praying to the computer gods I don’t get a leak. I think the next PC I would like to build is a mini ITX build that would be the size of an Xbox or something. But for now my wallet is empty and im done spending money on this hobby. Thank you for spending you time reading this I appreciate that. Also apologies for grammar and spelling I’m hopeless and those kind of things and I’m relying entirely on word to correct me.
