When I replaced the 1st pump, I noticed there is some green debris built up in the water block. Knowing I was going to need to clean the water block, I ran a cleaner through the loop. For a few days and flushed the loop.
The tubing had also yellowed, which I found out is a common problem with clear tubing. So ordered some new tubing, rad cleaner, and a few more fittings. (I updated the build to reflect the changes) On the suggestion of the SFFPC, I'm going to try some Vinyl. So I've ordered some Utah Pneumatic Vinyl Tubing 3/8" Id 1/2" Od.
While I was waiting for everything to arrive, the 2nd pump failed. With the pump being less then a month old, that seemed very SUS. I arranged for a return, and ordered another Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus. This time from Titan Rig. After getting a real Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus pump, it was clear that the 2nd pump wasn't a Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus.
If your going to do buy a Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus, make sure you buy it from a reputable store. A real Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus has a 4 pin fan connector with 2 wires. If you buy a Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus and the fan header is 3 pin, one wire. It's not a Alphacool Laing 12V DDC-1T Plus!
After Cleaning, used microfiber cloth, seemed to work well.
Before Cleaning, foggy panels, yellowing block and green debris.
Kit for cleaning radiator. I really though the bottle and funnel were going to be bigger. it's really a tiny funnel.
For such a small radiator I only needed 1/8th of the bottle and 250ml of water. Turned out a small water bottle was perfect for mixing the water and chemicals together. Also worked well with funnel to poor into radiator.
Before cleaning hard water build up on window. More green debris.
After Cleaning, used microfiber cloth to clean.
