2019 update with new GPU/CPU (including new waterblocks and gpu backplate)
Everything in place. Build basically done. Hulk fist made by the mrs out of coloured clay.
Starting hardware that I began with. There were a few changes over time to some of these but the major components have stayed the same
Blank case that I started with
First install of everything on air to test
Testing reservoir and radiator placement
GPU waterblock installation
Platform I made to make all my loop bends
Bending and cutting PSU shroud from black acrylic
Cabling scraps - only some of
Cables in place and time to test the water loop
Acrylic sheet laser cut for the front panel
Testing for size of the face (printer was messing up)
Vinyl face cut (thanks to the mrs) Black vinyl and white vinyl on top for teeth and eyes
Recycling the original front panel backing and cutout for lighting
Lights installed and front panel done. (light is shining through the white frosted acrylic layer)
Top panel off ready for painting
Poor effort at cable management. Lucky you dont see it
Rear, top and front all in place
First run with green coolant
Coolant in and leak testing
Tempered glass and lights all in place
I kept the pc like this while life happened for about 12 months.
12 months later. The loop needed a clean
So much gunk in the CPU block
Tubes that are below the PSU shroud (used soft tubing for this) Front radiator and drain port. The soft tubing gets stained this dirty colour after about a years use
Look at the difference in that colour, new and old
Got me the new PSU shroud from the 2nd gen of my case - a better fit than the acrylic one I made.
Cut off the right side of it to make room for the reservoir. Cut a couple holes for the tubes to go through. I then cut the section that the tubes go through for easier management. (means that I can remove the shroud to get access below without having to drain my loop as well)
The anti vortex insert to the reservoir. Got the hulks face laser etched on a bit of clear acrylic I cut out. Forgot to take a pic of it before installing it.
Cut and stuck on black vinyl to the tempered glass to hide the LED strip (up top)
