Control Station ENCLAVE
Hi!
This PC represents my first foray into the world of HEDT computers. I didn't intend to end up with a full-on AMD build; I started with the motherboard and processor but I was due a GPU upgrade, and really thought it'd be cool to have one of the first consumer 7nm graphics cards.
Its duties are split between gaming (of course!) and productivity - game development and modding. A lot of the software I use thrives on multiple threads; my previous processor was an i7 6700k which gamed brilliantly, but my Threadripper 1920X is an absolute dream when it comes to tasks like LOD generation and making game builds in general. The Radeon VII is pretty much exclusively on gaming duty as none of my productivity tasks lean on the GPU much.
I've taken to calling my PC Control Station ENCLAVE as I'm a long time Fallout fan, and thought the primary antagonists in Fallout 2 and 3 were really interesting (horrible as they may be). I've made mods about them for Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 which I'm very proud of, and so as homage to them I've set my RGB lighting to mimic their faction colors.
I'm really proud of this PC - performs fantastically and is completely reliable!
