Hi builds.gg community! This is my first custom water cooled pc build.
I was inspired by "The Dark Knight" trilogy and chose Green and Purple Joker theme.
I used custom CableMod Green UV reactive cables and Acid Green UV reactive coolant from EKWB. To add this glowing effect I've added CableMod Widebeam Hybrid UV led strip. Joker lamp is from AliExpress.
CPU was delided and overclocked to a stable 4.9 GHz (5.0 is less stable so I stuck with 4.9). GPU overclocked to 2100MHz core and 7900MHz memory.
System temperature is 30°C while idle and 60°C under load, thanks for two 360mm radiators.
I'm using a second 7 inch monitor from GeekPi for system monitoring (temperatures, clocks and RAM). NZXT CAM software helps to display most of the relevant information and it is cool that they have green theme that matches my build.
PC is a beast! Every modern game runs smoothly on ULTRAs 1440p 120+ fps, while being cool and silent.
Future improvements: - Add 60cm Led strip extension to make it symmetric - Replace DDC pump with D5 or DDC PWM version to make PC even more silent - Develop more flexible PC monitoring software (in progress) - Buy a new desk
FAQ: Q: Why such an overkill PSU? A: Initially I planned to buy 1000W version, but there was a promotion on newegg, that made 1200W version cost me less then 1000W.
Q: Why do you have an air pressure fans on a radiator? You should put static pressure fans on radiators it should make the cooling more efficient. A: I would not say the LL is a poor static pressure fan. Something like an AF-style blade (11-15 blades) with a sharp rake is not a good choice and you usually see mm of H20 values below 1.00 for airflow designs, even at high speeds. All Corsair RGB fans are hybrid designs between the AF and SP archetypes and suited for multiple uses, including radiators. Performance differences between HD, ML-RGB, and LL fans are elusive. The 1.78 vs 1.62 (ML to LL) is NOT a meaningful performance difference. I'm losing here something like 1°C, but overall look is so much worse it!
