I got my first computer about 5 years ago and it was a Dell XPS 8700. I used this for games like CSGO, PUBG, Rocket League, and Battlefield. I bought a GTX770 to get better performance in them and eventually upgraded even further to the 980ti. I just recently decided to upgrade as I will be going to college this coming Fall and figured I should make my computer the way I want while I still could.
The build process could have been smoother considering the amount of issues I encountered. I purchased the H700i in all black, but decided that would be overwhelmingly black considering my black components. I compensated by spray painting the black bar white, spray painting my SSD white, and installing white cable extensions. In the end I believe this was the right call, although it did add a significant amount of labor. I additionally had issues with NZXT's lighting software. (I just learned I am going to need a HUE+ in addition to the Hue controller that comes with the case. Also, my pump LED is not being detected - although it lights up white.
Regardless of all the set backs, I overclocked my CPU to 5.0GHz which I was content with and my GPU a safe amount too. I saw about a 10 percent increase in performance from this and maintained cool core temperatures. I can basically play any game in the world now and run at least 144Hz and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I did enjoy the build process itself, but I think designing it and picking my parts may have been my favorite part. I plan to do a build with full water cooling in the future, but that likely won't be for years as I expect this rig to last me a while.
