With Purple LED case lightning.
Some of the EK logos on the fittings are not lined up in the picture but i fixed it but im not redoing the pictures now.
With white LED case lightning.
The cover over the old PCI slots is temporary untill i get sheet metal or alternative material.
With white lightning as i prefer it.
With Purple LED case lightning.
My camera makes the purple EK fluid look pink.
I had to white balance and colour correction so that why the purple varies in the pictures.
This is one of the most accurate pictures of the colours (no LEDs to screw up the colouring more).
Test fit and played around with vinyl and a razor on the bottom cover plate.
No records but fun to see the differences between the versions.
SLI 1080 used to be Better than 98% of all results but now its 96%
With classic wow (hopefully) around the corner, I wanted to incorporate it . More info in build logs.
Got the EK kit before my gtx1080 block so tried some overclocking after the delidding. could get 4.8ghz stable but temps was in the mid 90°C so my 24/7 clock ended up at 4.7ghz at 60-70°C
Both sides of the IHS was polished to a mirror image.
Liquid metal, high heat silicone sealant and a clamp to keep them under pressure and it was back to normal but with better temperatures!
Flushing Radiators with alternating cold/warm water and then just doing a normal distilled water flush before install. First warm flush i did was into my bathtub and a thin oily film(flux?) was on the surface of the water.
Bottom of front radiator inside. pump will be mounted here in Version 3.
ok, the back is tight but it fits. Hows the front?
Nope, time for power tools!
The front 360 radiators needed to be lower to not interfere with the top radiator.
More hardware!
NVMe SSD, 16Gb more ram and another GTX 1080 advanced.
Stress testing the new 1080 for a week before installing the waterblock.
First shot of the polished Ram to match the chrome fittings.
A few cuts and the test fans fit.
ok to much 3M carbon fibre vinyl and so much room for activities...
Wow that card is sagging so much.
Metal braces in the way of mounting fans on top of radiator.
Radiators are in but this tighter than expected.
routing tubing between radiators will be a pain.
Very impressive packaging and look.
A major reason for picking Phanteks blocks was that i could use strix backplate and wanted to try something different.
Preordered the block and it had not crimped the casing of the wire.
ok, so it's their first batch shit happens... except it was the same on the 2nd block i got half a year later.
It will have to do until I get a better plan.
Checking if it's even possible to route it down under the psu shroud and its not.(without changing the psu position)
Forgot a screw and the 8pin EPS connector. ended up removing the radiator to install them. sigh
Dont have pictures of the first version but this is the first picture i found.
This is the most naked chassi photo as you can see it's missing the psu shroud and the remaining parts were removed later. The Radiators and the motherboard are now structural parts of the chassi.
Plexiglass and a tiny bit of vinyl and the SLI bridge looks lovely. lightning makes it look crooked.
Leak testing. Front fans removed for drying after squirt from a radiator fitting.
The pci tabs stick down to psu so just used motherboard distances to push the psu back.(dont want to cut the PCI in case i want to use them in another chassi)
Even experienced watercoolers have leaks. one of the radiator fittings got loose when installed the tank and it squirted over the new Noctua fans.
Took an hour to remove fans with fingers, tweezers and pliers. Emptying the loop and removing the tank to be able to take off the fans was not an option. now they are finger tight for easier removal.
Making the lower cover took the whole day from making the characters on wowheads dressing room to sizing and placing them in the right place.
Why no hunter? wanted even sides(4vs4) and healer, tank on both sides with no duplicate classes. That's why the paladin is ret and well i love that axe so had to use it.
Was trying to get the hights of the races was hard and hopefully its kinda correct.
