H700i rebuild
Made the mistake of purchasing an Alienware Aurora r5. Little did I know that most of internals were either unbranded (MSI aero 1070) or proprietary Dell parts, all of which were not friendly to upgrade. After spending too much on the pc itself, adding an SSD and an additional 16gb of ram, I hit a wall. About a year or so with my Alienware, I started looking at custom builds. My friend brought his PC over and I fell in love with the NZXT s340 elite case that he used. After purchasing that case and swapping over what I could (gpu and ram), I sold the Alienware and went all in. After a few months of my own research an upgrades, I rebuilt in the NZXT h700i. Plenty of room for future expansion, and so far I've seen a drop in all temps (idle and stress).
slight overclock on all cores to 4.4ghz
Even though the 1080ti is the DT variant, it's stable at 2050mhz. It crashes if I push it anymore than that.
I eventually plan to upgrade the main display to 120hz+ and probably throw a 2080ti in later down the road.
