The Widowmaker
Hey all, It was my birthday last month and decided to treat myself to a present for my setup. A Samsung 49" Super Ultrawide 1440p monitor, now I had only ever gamed on a normal 27" 1080p monitor so this was a huge jump for me but i am so happy with the outcome of this and the cleaner look i went for on the PC.
Not much changed on the PC bar a deep clean and change to the EK Cryofuel Indigo Violet fluid and decided to try out the GPU in normal position rather than vert to see if much difference in temps (there wasnt as much as expected, 5-8 degrees higher when vert mounted)
I dropped the triple monitor (24" x 27" x 24") i had before and opted for a single 49" which i was worried about being to large for gaming but it just isnt haha, its awesome and very immersive lol. This matched with jumping to 1440p it really was a game changer.
Not played much yet as only arrived yesterday and setup last night but running this on a 2080 Super seems pretty good and getting around 80-90 fps in Destiny 2. Planning on a 3080ti (if thats what it ends up being called) later this year so that should push me over the 100fps and near the 120hz of the monitor to fully appreciate![Emoji]()
