Case arrived so started removing all the storage and prepared the case for some of the components that had already arrived.
I installed all 10 Noctua Chromax NF-A12x15 PWM fans! It took a long time to prep the fans. Each fan had to have all 8 vibration pads stuck to them. There are 3 sets of 3 fans as well as 1 fan in the usual spot behind the CPU. I opted to go for the thinner fans as I want the case to be as silent as possible. It looks like I need to try hack some of the cables I got with the fans and have 3 connectors spaced 12cm apart and then 1 connector to the FAN header. Each header can draw 1 amp so these fans are safe! There are going to be 12 Noctua fans in this build if you include the 2 on the Cooler!
GPU also plugged in as well as Power supply. PSU cables are not very neat so I think I'll end up either making my own cables or getting some custom ones. The power supply seems to have a daisy chained PCIe Connector for the GPU. I thought you needed 2 dedicated ones from the PSU but perhaps this 1200w PSU can handle them daisy chained. I need to research that.
Also the Gigabyte Aorus M.2 drives didn't fit with the copper heatsinks so I took them out (simple case of unscrewing 6 small screws and prying the casings apart carefully with a plastic knife!
Ryzen 3960x CPU is also in but no memory yet - think it is scheduled for Saturday or Sunday so going to wait before I attempt to install the cooler.
I also purchased a TMP2.0 module which allows Windows to store info securely (
TPM Module from SCAN UK)
I had to take the copper casings off as the M.2 NVMe drives don't fit in the motherboard slots (and don't fit in the 4 x Gigabyte RAID card that came with the motherboard!)
Each fan had 8 stickers you have to attached to either side of the fans. Took a while to do all 10!
CPU is plugged in but Cooler will have to wait until I get the memory this weekend.
GPU is also plugged in. Not sure if it will interfere with the cooler, but easy enough to remove if that is the case. I might have to move it to the other PCIe x16 slot.
TPM module sticking out next to the BIOS switches. That media header needs some cleaning up! I might try to fix that with some heat shrink!
Power Supply is in. I definitely want to clean up the cables. Seems they are overly long and have crappy cables. I'll have to see if I will try my hand at creating my own cables, or if I will cable-mod them!
