HT Box One

I wanted to build a new home theater PC but I wanted something unique that would fit with my home theater setup. I love the look of the Xbox One S console and decided to try building a home theater PC inside of an Xbox One S housing. I reached out to my friend Ed who mods Xbox consoles and he happened to have an extra housing laying around. After some careful measuring, I figured out that it was possible to fit a mini ITX motherboard and a low-profile graphics card inside the console. The first step was to build a base that the Motherboard, SSD and GPU would mount to. Once the components were mounted on the base it was secured to the bottom of the console housing. The power button was then wired to the motherboard to allow it to turn on and off the computer. Since I was not going to be using the cd drive slot we decided to place an LED strip in its place and connect it to an Arduino controller. We wired the eject button on the front of the console to the Arduino controller to allow it to change the color of the LED strip
