Birch Build
Heavily inspired by Linus Tech Tips' PC desk build, I designed and made my own version of a desk PC.
Like Linus, I bought the 25" x 50" glass top from Craigslist and designed the desk based on those measurements. The designs were first made by hand on grid paper, then transferred over and refined on Sketchup.
Made out of Birch plywood, screws, nails, and blood, sweat, and tears, my Wooden desk build was custom made and hand crafted specifically for my enjoyment. From the relatively short height of the desk, to the extra space behind the desk for room for cable management, to the fans that intake air from the left and blow out to the right, this desk PC was built with both aesthetics and utility in mind.
To match the rustic-ish aesthetic of the build, I fitted my mechanical keyboard with retro-style typewriter key caps, as well as built a wooden Oculus Rift headset stand.
