The front bottom in this older pic is an NF-F12 but it has now been swapped for an A12x25
All-Noctua Silent Build
After having custom loops for a half a decade I decided I wanted to go back to basics with a no-frills, easy to maintain build. The last thing I wanted to do after a long week of dealing with custom PCs at work was come home and spend hours working on my own one. It needed to be silent, easy to work on, and only use high quality parts. The latter I had tons of data on after overseeing over ten thousand custom builds. This thing is - no exaggeration - dead silent under all but the most intensive loads. I had to close up my entire apartment to eliminate background noise and place a mic right next to the exhaust for it to pick up anything under normal desktop usage load.
The case was chosen due to the minimalist, airflow-centric design along with superb build quality and paint finish. It's stupid easy to work in and I can't rate Fractal highly enough. I was also dead-set on having all Noctua fans as I have never, EVER, seen one be DOA or fail within warranty. Originally I did not have the Noctua GPU, and only used a couple NF-F12s. As the A12x25 is my favourite fan of all time I eventually got around to filling the case with them and I'm very happy with how it is right now. I would have preferred to avoid any Asus parts due to their terrible warranty service but I didn't have much of a choice as I wanted the Noctua GPU - at least their products are great quality. The only change I would make at the moment would be to add a high capacity gen 4 NVMe SSD but that's not a necessity for how I use the computer.
