Figuring out certain fitment quirks to the hardware that was chosen to build with always seems to be a challenge for me. Most of the times I find myself with situations where a certain radiator doesn't line up with the case mounting slots, or in this case (haha, a pun!) it simply is too wide for the mounting slots of the case...
Simple solution; mod the mounting slots to accommodate the wider radiator..
So now that we made that fit nicely. What about the other radiator in the top?
That should be no issue, right?..... right?!
Jokes on me. It certainly won't fit at all..
Unless... we CNC some custom little brackets!
The white spray-paint I found matches the existing white tint of the case pretty well. Certainly for this application.
So now to the Pump-/Reservoir-combo unit. How should we mount this?
... The fans I chose do not allow for the EK-Uni pump mounting bracket to be fitted on top of them like other fans do, so to the CNC we went. Again!
So now that all the components actually fit inside the case and have a solid place to be mounted, it's time to mount everything and figure out the tubing runs.
Eventually the black fittings used now will be changed out for their white counterparts, once they arrive!
Same goes for the copper tubes. They will be replaced with chrome copper tubes once all runs are final.
While waiting for the custom painted parts to dry, I went ahead and started creating the custom length and sleeved PSU cables to fit the build theme. Very tight fit around the EPS connectors on the motherboard, but with a little bit of encouragement - it all went in nice and tidy!
Currently this build is on hold while I'm away on holiday. Expect the next update to be ready at the end of this month.
