So, my son (14 years old) and I built a PC for him back in October (soon to be submitted) and I got caught the PC building bug. I had built one before he was born but have stuck with console gaming since then (PS4 mostly). Now that the kids are getting older, I'm reclaiming my basement and converting it from a kid's playroom to my man-cave. I figured that the room needed a show-piece of a PC and after months of reading other people's builds, it's time to do my own. I bought the monitor on a pre-Christmas sale from NewEgg, got the GPU from eBay, and the Thermaltake Fans from Amazon. Otherwise, all other components were bought in a single trip to MicroCenter (with one return trip to swap one of the components due to missing hardware).
