Orbital Project

My main build, used for gaming and chill, wich is as usual made with a mix of previous builds parts and new ones.
I'm kinda late there, as I build this one around the spring of 2021.

But anyway, here is the project : Orbital.
I love the Sirius Loop fans and the rgb line on them, so I decided to theme this build with only these fans fo cooling. The Enermax AIO LiqMax III ARGB was also cheap and with a ring of rgb as well, so it will fits with the ring of the fans.
I kept my trusty MSI Z390 Tomahawk, and upgraded to a I9-9900K and a 3070 Gaming X Trio, both found on the second hand market as a good deal : it came with a full PC (used for some upgrades and also to sell some parts) and my new monitor (listed in hardware infos) for a reasonable price.
I love vertical GPU, but this time I wanted to use a tilted one cause I saw it on other builds and thought it looks really good. It needed some adjustment : the PSU shroud is made of plastic in the ASUS GT501 case, so the EZDIY GPU bracket doen't stick to it with the magnets included. So I drilled some holes in both of the parts and used some good old bolts and nuts to fix it.
First I used 32Go of Corsair Vengeance from the build I bought but as most of the parts were Mystic Light compatible, iCUE was in conflic with them and gives some weird artefacts on the lights, so I finaly changed it by HyperX sticks with same specs.
I reused also a Samsung 860 EVO 1To who came from another build, coupled with two 240Go from Kingston I already had, and my build became SSD only. I also put some vinyl on the Samsung logo as it was upside down once in the case (my OCD...^^)

To match the gray color sheme, I also have a silver G413 keyboard and a G603 mouse. My monitor don't really match the gray color as it is a AOC (with red accent then), but the 21:9 ratio is just so perfect !

The tilted GPU, with the rings of lights on the fans give a nice aesthetic to the build. The case with this gray-military look, fits perfectly with the GPU, mobo and SSDs design, as well as the cable extensions.
I'm happy with it !
