I wanted to build a compact, silent computer which would allow me to occasionally game. My choise fell with the Dan A4, at the time, the V3.
After putting the part list together, I got to delidding the 7700k to relid it using thermal grizzly conductonaut.
The initial setup using a Asetek 545LC with a Noctua NF-A9x14 under a Corsair SF600 Platinum worked quite well, although thermals were not great, it would never, in any case, throttle.
Then I ordered a G-Unique Archdeamon Limited 600W Platinum external power supply. This thing changed the game allowing me to add a Noctua NF-A9x14 fan under the motherboard and swap out the 92mm Asetek 545LC for a 120mm Corsair H55 with a Noctua NF-A12x25.
The whole build runs more silent and alot cooler now.
