Here's a PC I built in mid 2018 for my friend using mostly second-hand parts.
Intro:
My friend came to me with a budget of $1100 and wanted a gaming PC, his only requirement being that it could run FFXV really well at 1080p. I knew it was easily doable, but I wanted to build him the best PC I could in his budget. I may have gone a tad overkill, especially seeing it's only for 1080p gaming, but eh, he's my mate and I wanted him to have an awesome PC. In the end I spent just a bit under $1200 as I spent a bit extra on aesthetics - that being the LED lighting kit and the cables. I also splashed a bit more than I usually would on a brand new SSD, case and PSU as I wanted some quality assurance for him (the extra money I spent is his birthday present).
The Deals:
I picked up the entire platform (that being the CPU, RAM, Mobo) and the H110i online for $630 posted. That included 32gb of 3000mhz ram which I took half of and put in another system. I then picked up the 1070 locally for $350. I managed to buy two from the same guy and used the other one in another white MATX build. The HDD I pulled from a cheap PC I picked up locally to fix and resell. Then the SSD, case and PSU were brand new, as aforementioned.
