This is where the build began. Picked up a Cosmos S locally for just $20. Was in rough condition and it had a crappy white paint job on the interior, but it was the perfect base for a new project. (Not my photo unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of it before I ripped it apart)
I was missing a couple of these drive bay covers originally, but a member over on OCAU was nice enough to send me a couple (and for free!), big thanks to that fella.
Picked up a 3570K, Z77 Sabertooth and 8gb of Dominator Platinums for cheap. I've always wanted a Z77 Sabertooth, so I jumped on it. I then threw in my own 2600K.

Test fitting what we have currently. It's beginning to take shape.
The pump/res is an XSPC Photon I got with a whole bunch of parts. I haven't even tested it yet so I hope it works :/
Gonna have to come up with a way to mount the res to rad - I'm thinking of making an acrylic mount that can just be screwed in and be easily removed if needed.
The top fans won't fit on the interior like I originally planned, but methinks it looks pretty mean with them mounted on the other side anyway.
I plan on mounting the rads and fans on the front with aluminium angle on either side.
Still lots of work to do!
Testing the new GPU - Strix R9 390. I'll probably upgrade to a higher end card with a GPU block eventually, hence the cheaper card for now.
Test fitting the vertical GPU mount I got. Definitely need to make some mods to the case.
New block arrived.
And the new ram. Definitely needs some paint. Came with the custom CableMod heat-spreaders basically for free.
Gonna hit the heat-spreaders with a coat of this copper paint. Should look mint.
All cut out with a dremel.
And cleaned up with a file. Looking much nicer.
Side looks decent as well. No jagged edges. Once it's painted you'll never be able to tell it was cut up :P

Black & Copper Cosmos S Build/Mod
Welcome to my Cosmos S build - my first attempt at proper case modding and a custom loop.
This is all started with me picking up a Cosmos S locally for $20. Wasn't in good condition but I thought it would make a great base for a project. I'm planning on a black and copper colour scheme (as per the title). I plan to include a vertically mounted GPU, Noctua Industrial fans and a full custom loop with lots of radiator space and perhaps copper tubing (or maybe just painted PETG/acrylic).
The vision for this PC will most likely evolve the more I work on it, which is why I don't really have any set in stone plans. We'll see what happens!
