After many years using an Intel Pentium G4400 and a GTX 950, was about time to show some love to my beloved wife that nearly gave up on PC gaming due to childcare.
Now that she's keen and have the time to come back, decided to gift her a "little" upgrade!
Some parts at her request were kept, like the Case and Monitor (1080p60) so will be pretty easy to drive and some others had around like the CPU from my recent upgrade.
All the remaining peripherals inclusive External Dac/Amp/Soundcard, Speakers, Keyboard/Mouse combo were all re-used as Wifey likes them a lot and they are actually quite good :)
Some may say the PSU is not up to specs but even with a Polaris GPU, however, the maximum power consumption while stressing both CPU and GPU simultaneously is 370W, so there is still a way for the 450W total.
In the near future will replace the following parts and update this build on the upgrades section:
- PSU: Seasonic Core GM-550
- Storage: ADATA XPG SX8200Pro 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 SSD
- Cooler: Noctua NH-L9a chromax.black
- Fans: Noctua NF-S12A PWM chromax.black (x3) replacing current 2 intakes and adding 1 exhaust at the top.
Wifey is pretty happy, she mainly plays Civ6, Cities Skylines and waiting for Hotel Magnate to be on early access. This beast can blast all of it maxed out at 1080@60Hz no problem.
So hope you all enjoy, and for you, my dear wife, thank you for supporting me on all my Hardware adventures that also made you get the PC Gaming Bug and hope you get to use and enjoy a lot your present and yet another of many other ways of saying thank you for carrying and bring our lovely and amazing child to this world
