Hey guys! This was a fun build. I built this for my cousin who was in need of a fast and powerful computer. He'll be using it for various school projects and moderate video editing which is why the budget was more oriented towards fast storage rather than GPU/Gaming needs. He'll be pushing 3 1440p displays.
Because I was only doing a CPU loop, I wanted to give the GPU some extra flair, so I decided to mod the case to allow for vertical mounting. The CPU only loop definitely creates some challenges as I can't use the GPU as an intersection point in the case meaning I have to route around it. And because I'm not using any angled fittings means lots of bends. Holy hell it was a lot of bends, but over all it came out quite nicely.
I also made a full PSU shroud and mid plate cover out of 3/16 acrylic. This really helps to clean up the aesthetic as well as improve the lighting effects as the material absorbs the light in the case.
The 570x was not the easiest case to work with. It definitely has its limitations. Over all it was still a fun challenge and once completed it looks amazing with all that tempered glass. I have way more detail in my build log which I will link below.
The great thing about the mods done here is that they can be achieved with basic tools. With a little time and patience the average builder can do this build.
