I started this build in October of 2019 following the rumors of the supposed spring launch of Nvidia's Ampere GPUs. I don't know if that timing would have ever turned out to be true but COVID happened either way and put things on hold.

I was originally going to just get a 3080 and started trying to purchase in November, after a few months without success I decided to go for a 3090 and managed to get an FE in a Best Buy drop. Between COVID and the GPU shortage it really sucked a lot of the enjoyment out of the build but I'm glad it's finally over and done now.
