I've been harvesting computers and building the best from the parts I could find from the age I could get my hands on them. I was raised by my grandparents in the '80s, so to say they had no idea about computers would be an absolute understatement to the highest degree. They also didn't have any money to waste on things like that so building my own was my only option. I have fond memories of finding a VooDoo II Card in an old comp by the side of the road in the rain, took that beast home and put the hair dryer to it. Best Day Ever! Now I am in the process of building my very first computer from 100% new parts and all picked/purchased by me. As of writing this I have the GPU, PSU, SSD and half the RAM (She's gonna be rockin' 64 Beautiful GB's of the stuff)(Over Kill, I know! But when will I get another chance to build a super rig). I will be posting pics when complete! Not gonna spoil the surprise by listing the components just yet! You'll have to wait to see.
