Flashbang: ROG + Open Air + Miku Hatsune (v2)

*Build Update on 1/11/25

Actually this PC was inoperable since 2406. After a PSU trip, Raid0 broke, Optane broke, more PSU trip after swapping the PSU (aw), until I decided to no longer trying to collect "Premium ROG no Strix" parts, and somehow migrated all contents from M2 Raid0 back to a single M2 (thanks DiskGenius), hand use an external HDD docking. Now thhe RGB is in full form, which all 12V RGB / 5V ARGB are controlled by the mobo directly.

Here are some parts not covered / contradicted / pending review in the list below (undefined price are used from AliExpress or any web source):

- Cerberus FN284144 (Local brand custom monitor. Gigabyte M28U's panel)
- QSRJ (Kind of i5 10600K)
- Kingston Fury RGB DDR4 3200 Mhz but in 2x8G only
- Samsung PM981a in 1024GB

*Build Update on 21/5/23

*This is my first post in builds.gg

This PC (parts collection) concludes my 3-year experience on constantly upgrading my PC from an entirely different desk into this.
Most parts (more than 90%!) are bought from second hand market, purely by chance and patience, then somehow I barely afford the entire collection with a factor of original price.

The PC design is totally original and arbitrary: I have no expectation until I started collecting top tier parts.
My intention was only collecting ROG "no strix" parts as much as I can, and keep it as practical as I can use it daily and constantly switching parts.
Besides parts collection, I am a big fan on RGB parts, especially underglow which is inspired from car culture.
Soon the Miku style case kicks in, then I decided to include it as a theme also.
Finally, the cable routing / installation sequence / frame flexing (looks sketchy but the steel plate is thick) / figure (figma) placing are all discovered and solved in progress with original ideas. Also, since my room configuration is irregular from oridinary household, I decided to tolerate the exposing cables, only tight and hang them in a stable mannar.

I considered to post this build on March 2022, after bragging about the ROG collection, but I prefer a "more completed / optimized" form and postponed until August. Now I'm satisfied with my constant investment on both collectables and my skills. The aesthetic may be weird, but it is very easy to maintain, and runs very cool and stable.
It runs fine without OC in hot tropical climate (East Asia) without AC, and the airflow / indoor location does prevent most of the dust. Since I have multiple PCs / laptops for serious use, it is actually overkill for lesure use and mild gaming. It provides great headroom and reliability to set me free from any troubles.

Thank you for reading!

Here are some parts not covered / contradicted / pending review in the list below (undefined price are used from AliExpress or any web source):
- ASUS ROG-THOR-850P (not shown in title). Yeah its chopped corner made my build possible.
- Case / AIO fan is ROG Strix LC fan stripped from Strix LC 360 RGB. I use CM SF240 from my March version instead. Noctua fan is not used.
- Phanteks RGB LED Strip is in 2 different pairs: RGB white and ARGB black
- PG27UQ was blown once (yes, spark and smoke), the control board is now switched to Terrle TER2722. Listed price was around 4000CNY.
- Asus HYPER M.2 X4 from X99 motherboard (instead of mini)
- ADATA - XPG Prime ARGB with both MB and VGA

Should be > 9600USD if everything is brand new. However my actual cost lies on around 3500-4000 USD (lost count).

And the "figmas" if you're interested (Price not count in above):
- 014 figma Miku Hatsune
- 100 figma Hatsune Miku: Append ver.
- 114 figma Hatsune Miku: Cheerful ver.
- 233 figma Racing Miku 2013: EV MIRAI ver.
- ex:ride Spride.06 - TT-Zero 13
