I have upgraded desktops before, but this was my first custom build from scratch. I am a programmer professionally and as a hobby so I wanted a machine that could handle large workloads and give me quick compilation times. I also wanted to be able to crank up my graphics while gaming in 4K, so I opted for an RTX 2080.
The Meshify C is a really great case to work in. Cable management is really easy and I appreciate the slightly smaller footprint compared to most other ATX cases. There is also plenty of airflow for my AIO CPU cooler which keeps my i9-9900k cool even under maximum load.
One bummer that I only realized after completing my build was that the motherboard I chose has no integrated Wifi. (The room with my router is much too far away for a wired connection) So I had to go back to the store to buy a PCIe Wifi card. I have it connected to my 5GHz network and I get respectable transfer speeds and latency.
Personal Caution: I started this build with an EVGA Supernova G3 and it was consistently much louder than any of my other parts even under mild load. The fan would stay silent at idle but any activity would cause them to kick in and were unreasonably loud. I eventually exchanged it for a Corsair RMx that has been very quiet.
