Apollo is an ITX, small form factor computer based on the Intel Z790 chipset and represents the best in high availability, reliability and high-performance in a small package. It was designed and built on the MSI MPG Z790I EDGE WiFi motherboard for its robust overclocking potential for both CPU and memory. It is powered by a 16-core, 24-thread Intel Core i9-12900KS with a P-core overclock of 5.0GHz, an E-core overclock of 4.1GHz and ring overclock of 4.2GHz.
It features 48GB of binned Corsair Dominator Titanium First Edition (CMP48GX5M2X7200C36) memory allowing for an overclock of 7600MT/s C32 in 1:2 mode @1.65v (32-46-44-58) with completely fine tuned sub-timings and turn around timings for high bandwidth, low latency and temperature focused reliability.
For the operating system, it uses a Western Digital Black SN850X 1TB NVMe SSD operating at 7.3GB/sec and secondary Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SATA SSD operating at 550MB/sec for container and virtual machine storage.
Airflow is handled by two inline Noctua Chromax NF-A12x25 fans mounted to a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE with an additional Noctua NF-A12x15 fan for exhaust. This setup allows cold air to be drawn from the intake vents on both sides of the case, through the computer's internals and then exhausted out of the rear with minimal chance for hot air to recirculate through the system.
Apollo aims to be a high efficiency 16-core mini server designed for high availability.
