The Dark Trigger
I live in Colombia, normally we look (ogle, more like) from the sidelines at the mods and incredible builds that get published here and elsewhere.
But I have a practical reason for wanting to make this build;
All the "computing" parts were aging, and I feared heat would finally do away with my system, which is the only desktop I have, and sole source of income as I am a remote web developer.
All the parts are cannibalised from its previous configuration, cpu motherboard gpu(s) and disks all come from a stock cooling build that is about 5 years old already.
The biggest hurdle was finding the proper parts for building the loop circuit, I was extremely lucky to find the CPU custom monoblock + mosfet cooling by EKWB on an amazon snatch provided by Titan Rig.
It took me some time to get two matching EKWB GPU waterblocks for the twin EVGA GTX 1070 cards. to this day I have not found backplates for them anywhere.
I kinda learned to like the final rough, exposed electronics look this system has.
The only reason I chose the Phanteks case over the other options was price, and what sold me to it was the fact that it could hold both Corsair 360 slim radiators in a comfortable configuration. I chose the fully closed one because this is an actual functional machine, used for work, that is not on display during its normal working hours.
For the future I plan to make this a dual system expanding on the possibilities of the case, powering both a local server and the main system from the same loop.
