Finally got around to doing a delid on the 7700k and replaced the TIM with Thermal Grizzly's Kryonaut. I scraped off all of the silicon and did not reseal as the mounting bracket holds the IHS in place. I used Noctua's NT-H2 thermal paste between the IHS and Scythe Mugen 5 heatsink (mine came with one fan despite two shown in the part list) and I replaced the stock fan with 2x EKWB Vardar RGB fans. I overclocked the 7700k to 4.8GHz at 1.27V and highest temp I saw with an hour of ASUS's RealBench was 77C. I tried for 5.0GHz, but the cooler couldn't handle it unfortunately (even with two fans). Also managed to overclock the Ripjaws V ram to 3333MHz with stock timings at 1.36V. 3466MHz would post, but showed errors in Memtest86 test 6 block move 64, with more errors scaling with increased voltage. I could probably go higher if I loosened timings, but I'm happy with where it's at right now. As a finishing touch, I completely redid the cabling, and it probably won't get any better without some case mods.
