Build in 2016, I built an editing/ gaming workstation since I'm in 3D animation and needed a bit more power, I settled on an MSI Z97 Gaming 7 LGA 1151 motherboard and an i5 4670k. I added in 4 sticks of ddr3 2400mhz Corsair Vengence Ram and at the time had an MSI 4G 970 graphics card that has now been upgraded to an EVGA GTX 1080 8GB card. Underneath I have a Corsair RM850 watt power supply and a Corsair H100i closed loop at 240mm radiator. Inside I have (2) 2TB WD black HDD and (2) Samsung 960 Evo SSD's, one for boot and steam and the other for adobe scratch storage. I have 4 120mm Corsair Whisper RGB fans with a custom MSI dragon cover on the rear. This all housed in a Corsair 460X Crystal Mid tower. Beautiful but not overkill. The gtx 1080 pushes to three 27in monitors for multi-tasking workflow.
