Close up: Gnome window manager on PopOS, a Debian-based Linux distro.
Close up: Keebio Quefrency R2 with NovelKeys PBT Vaporwave Keycaps. In the back, my AudioTechnica ATH-SR50s are visible.
Close-up: inside the NR200 are the brains of the build. The inside is packed full with a huge cooler and gpu—not much to see there.
Quarantine Haunts: Ghost Upgrade
My quarantine work-from-home machine is a ghost. The spirits of Debian and gnome haunted my 5yo pc as I refreshed her during quarantine.
Throughout the last year, I myself was haunted by parts shortages and hardware (un)availability. I max'd out my b85 motherboard with a 4790k and a 1080ti, found early on in the pandemic on the used market. While I waited for the 5600x and 3060ti, I upgraded my case, cooling, monitor, and keyboard. I'm stoked about the split keyboard—shout out to Keebio for the rotary encoder and macro keys on the Quefrency r2. Managed to snag some PBT Vaporwave keycaps from NovelKeys while I wait for my GMK Laser caps to ship.
Still haunted by the ghost build, but I'm hoping soon that I'll be able to lay her (upgrades) to rest! Comment with questions or upgrade suggestions!
