Pioneer VSX-1024CI
A sleek and subtle build that fits right in among HiFi audio equipment. This Pioneer VSX-1020 went though a flood and had several of it's boards damaged beyond repair. It seemed a shame to throw out such a nice looking shell, so it was turned into a PC case. I call it the Pioneer VSX-1024CI because the internal volume is just shy of 1024 cubic inches. A power of two!
The concept for airflow in this build was to work with convection currents as much as possible. All air is taken in from the bottom of the unit through a removable magnetic PVC mesh filter, directed straight to the AIO cooler and GPU through a custom-made shroud, and expelled through the top and upper-sides. The GPU placement was chosen to work perfectly when paired with an Nvidia RTX 30XX card utilizing a flow-through cooler.
Working front panel Volume and Input Select (task switch) knobs.
Front audio, USB, and display still to come.
PCI-e 4.0 riser cable custom-made by LINKUP
