O11 XL White/Black/Gold build featuring the Master Chief
Even though they end up looking nice and clean, I wanted to avoid the O11 distro-plate and do something unique. I also wanted to keep the front window. I liked the sleek look of the EK Flat reservoirs so I decided to go with that and have just bottom-up airflow.
In general I like the components to be what is seen, not the lights but use the lights for accent colors. In addition to the fans I also two vertical light strips behind the right and left posts to provide white ambient light.
One challenge was what to do about the reservoir being see-through. I though about just using a frosted glass sticker but first experimented with taping a printed photo and this actually looked better than I ever expected. They key was to use smartphone wallpaper images due to the very narrow aspect ratio. I also put a little bit of black electrical tape to the side of the pump so that the whole bottom of the res is blacked out.
I've since upgraded the GPU to a 4090 but still waiting on the waterblock for it.
