Midnight Rage v1
Already named v1, because since completion, there's already more I want to do. The AIO cooler from Corsair is amazing, but I want to do a custom loop someday. On second thought, it might not be this build, but next one!
I built a computer for my parents last January to give them something really functional, but also cheaper than purchasing a pre-built. That build was so simple, but it definitely got me back into the game, so I started saving for my own build. I purchased many parts throughout the year as they became available (and when they were cheap), and I was given quite a few parts from friends at incredibly discounted rates. I didn't even list a few of the items now that I'm reading back over everything in the build list.
I was really proud to finish this build and turn it on. It worked the first time with no error codes thrown! That's when I knew I still had it (cue well-timed gif). All RBG is controlled by either iCue, AURA Sync, or EVGA Precision XOC.
The red and black was the plan from the beginning and I think that it worked really well overall. I saw a couple completed builds online using the NZXT H500 and I loved the look. I'm super OCD, so I can already tell you that I'm not happy with the cable management behind the back panel, however, the front turned out super clean, so that's enough to hold me over for now!
No overclocking yet - unless you count the XMP profiles on the RAM just to run their advertised speed. I haven't pushed the GPU too far yet, but with all the fans in the case, the temps have been great so far.
Enjoy.
