Water test ( paper towels only for accidental spillage, it was needed since I forgot to crack a plug for air)
Not sure why the light on the reservoir turned off/on when I changed the glass. no big
Desk Dual PC
Found the desk in stock and decided to do another custom build. All watercooling products are from EKWB except for the tubing (Bykski) and the compression fittings (Primochill). I liked Primochill's O-ring design more than EK's Luckily, their Nickel fittings were similar in color. All the runs were made pretty simple with EK's reservoir and distribution plates. EK's Torque fittings lineup made all the mismatches disappear and made the build very clean and parallel. The only runs I was concerned with was the cpu to the reservoir, as the holes weren't 100% lined up, so a 90 bend wouldn't work for me as the mismatch would be shown more readily than a straight tube supported by extensions and a 90 fitting. Didn't want to use another opaque fluid or Mystic Fog so I decided to use Chrome plated Copper tubing to make the tubes bring their own Aesthetic to the build. Not interested in blockage from opaque coolants (see my caselabs build, and before I used Vue). Copied the 10850k build by using a quantum velocity waterblock on the Z690 build, the new specifically designed LGA1700 waterblock (quantum velocity2) didn't provide great connections to the reservoir no matter which way it was oriented (and yes I used the new LGA1700 backplate). Thanks to Performance PC's for having all these fittings and blocks in stock!
