Beta Fish
This is a build that I have been working on for years now, I recently upgraded my GPU to a MSI RTX 3090 Surpim and had to make some unconventional modifications to showcase it and give it the breathing room it needs.
First off I had to get a new CPU cooler, because the NHD-15 Chromax (LTT edition because I'm a fanboy
) did not fit with the new card installed. So I installed a 280mm AIO cooler to help keep my new 9900k frosty, I used some zip ties and the original silent wings 3 140mm fans that came with the case to give it that push pull love.
I used one of the fans from my old Noctua cooler as an exhaust for the PSU shroud(and of course more zip ties).
I was getting tired of removing the glass panel every time I wanted to game, so I got to thinking on how I could have a window while at the same time not have a window.
So...
I measured up the threads on the mounting screws for the window and ordered way too much hardware. I cut some threaded steel rods and bolted them to my desk then mounted some GPU holders I won in a cooler master arts and crafts project onto the rods to help hold up the window. Even with the window open now, there is not a lot of noise, but the idle temps have dropped over 10C on my GPU.
I made a little mouse robot out of an old Steel Series mouse that I broke. I used to use it as a GPU holder for my 1070ti but now he just sits on my desk!
I listed my GPU as a gaming x trio because I could not find the 3090 Suprim on the list..
Anyways I give you Beta Fish
