Another project that was supposed to be a twenty-minute, in-and-out adventure ended up taking five days. The build’s extreme compactness demanded us to make a set of custom power cables (see how close the fan is to the PSU’s cable exit?). We liked the idea of a wooden front panel, but the Lian Li A3’s stock design didn’t do it for us, so we added our own.
Small computers are such a pain to work on—and at the same time such a joy. Just adorable: a teeny-weeny cutie, standing there, glowing and working!
We really liked the Thermalright fans. They’re solid—they move air, don’t make needless noise, and look unreal. MSI’s Mortar is the hit of the season. This fall alone, we’ve built half a dozen machines around it.
