This is a rebuild of a build I did a few years ago.
https://builds.gg/apexbuilds/neon-concentrate-34562. In short, the brief for the original build was to max out the rad capacity in an O11D Mini, have a vertical GPU, have the GPU position be adjustable to line up the tube runs and finally to do a somewhat unique O11 build (not easy these days). To do this, I had to design a custom back panel for the case (credit to Nick Falzone for polishing up and CNC'ing the metal). Overall, this creates a very filled in look, which I quite like.
For V2, we decided to go... a bit less concentrated. Swapped out the quite frankly garbage Corsair QL fans with Noctua A12-25s w/ Phanteks Halos Lux dRGB fan frames. This made a massive difference in terms of noise and thermals. Motherboard and CPU got upgraded to Intel 13th gen. GPU got upgraded to the 4090 FE with the Watercool block. I'm a big fan of their 4000 series blocks. Having the ports on the right gives you more vertical clearance and overall looks nicer IMO. Performance and build quality is also terrific. I added some small touches like 3D printed fan covers, chrome vinyl wrap on the sides of the rads and photo diffusion paper on the LED strips. Other than switch to Aquacomputer Farbwerk 360 for RGB control, everything else is the same as the first build.
