The Ascend to Ryzen
This is my ascend to ryzen from my FX 8320.
It was meant to be a cheap upgrade , but it then became the project of a whole year as I started to add more and more parts as the ryzen cpu allowed me to do many more stuff.
I treat this as my canvas and from time to time I add more things , parts , and other little stuff to make it more and more an attractive build.
Beside the listed parts I have a bunch of usb accesories such as a FiiO dac amp to use with a closed back headphones I have, additionally I am also running an intel 9260 Wifi card as I am unable to wire my self to my internet.
This build started only for gaming but escalated as my career advanced a bit to be a remote server for engineering work, media transcoding and simulation besides gaming.
The 12 threads allow me to play light games when doing most of my work and I do not notice when my media server starts transcoding videos. The main caveat is the usage of all 3.5" space as the hard drives were added slowly as they went on sale and I required to upgrade my storage for media and projects. The 2.5" ssd was the first ssd and was meant for o.s and some games, however I acquired an m2 ssd which became the main SSD for games while the 2.5" ssd only holds the o.s and programs such as EMBY for media server and mathlab, solidworks and other small utilities for engineering and server.
