Teeny Tiny ITX Build
This is my teeny tiny ITX PC. I was previously using the Fractal Design Define Nano S, but wanted something smaller and more portable. I had never heard of the PC-Q21 until I saw it advertised, along with the SF450 and C7, in a used parts BSS group and bought it straight away. I needed a new GPU that would fit in the Q21 so bought the Zotac Mini 1660 to replace my MSI RX 570, which fit quite well in the case, only slightly interfering with the USB 3.0 cable. I also bought the 1tb 850 Pro as my previous SSD was slow and tiny. The mobo, cpu and ram were all from my previous PC.
The build process was pretty straightforward, albeit time consuming. Although the case is extremely bare-bones, cramming all of the hardware in a volume of about 8 litres isn't easy. Cables were a problem as there's only a couple of centimetres of room in the corner of the case, but I managed to squeeze them all in there with a few zip ties. I really appreciated the removable mother board tray, the easily removable SSD and the tool-less side panels which just clip into place.
So far temps seem to be okay. Both the CPU and GPU, at stock, peak in the low to mid 70s (Celsius) which isn't too bad for such a small case with not much ventilation and no case fans.
I plan on modifying the the top panel of the case to accommodate the 2x 92mm Noctua fans I have sitting around. I'll just cut the necessary holes in the top for exhaust and to mount the fans, as well mount some fan grilles to protect the fans (and for the aesthetics). I also plan on delidding the CPU to further help temperatures. I originally planned to try and mount a 92mm AIO to the top, but I quickly realised it wouldn't fit at all - hence going for the 2 exhaust fans.
All questions and comments are appreciated, cheers :^)
