This build was a long time coming! After gaming, streaming and handling my work life on my older 8yr machine, I needed an upgrade! I decided to go above and beyond for this build and yet again create something that would last another 8-10 years. One major component this build had to have was a AMD Thread-Ripper. I've always wanted to get my hands on one to build and at this point in time, it was the perfect chance! I managed to snag one for a price that would make you fall out of your chair! I do work in IT as an Infrastructure Engineer so I deal with enterprise equipment on the daily. I generally work with TR4 socket processors and other fun stuff so getting my hands on one for my own personal workstation made sense. PLUS.... I enjoy AMD and there products very much. AMD has always taken care of me regardless of what others opinions are. As for the rest of the other components of the PC, I stuck with some of the most up to date/reliable parts for the build. I also wanted to give the computer as much horsepower as possible in case its needed in the future for whatever comes my way.
I stayed away from watercooling (besides the AIO) because I wanted to focus on the components of the computer and not so much the cooling. With a good case, and smart fan placement, you shouldn't have any heating issues. The Phanteks Evolv-X Case was a want, more than a need. I love the engineering behind this case along with the sleek and future look it has. I've have nothing but positive numbers on the cooling side of this build even under full load which is only when bench marking!
As for the colors... right now the default color combination is setup for RGB but that will change. The Case, board and other parts have a black/grey and carbon vibe going so it works for now. I'm looking to do a Blue/Light Blue configuration once I have the time to sit down and create a profile for the components. I have messed with some ideas but more to entertain myself rather then set something up permanently.
