Extending the life of an XPS 8700 :3 4 spinning harddrives 4 SATA SSD's 1 MSATA SSD 1 Bluray writer 1 Rosewill USB type C expansion card 1 Rocketraid card 2 120mm modded side intakes with antec true quiet, external high/low switch Seasonic Platinum 750 watt Arctic 33 Esports one CPU cooler 970 GPU All into a tiny mid tower case. Thankfully SSD's don't really need hard mounting. Original cooling was very poor, single low output exhaust fan was insufficient especially after all my additions, but with added twin side intakes the case is sufficiently positive pressured that it exhausts even through the bottom front vent, and likely the hybrid mode psu fan rarely needs to spin up. Fans mounted outside because there is no space inside, powered by a CRJ DC Power Supply for 2 x 3/4-Pin 12V to reduce internal wiring and to make side panel removal simple. Its a more effective solution than the usual attempt to cut a front intake into an oem case, which either results in an ugly mess or an obstructed fan. The Antec fans were chosen because they have silicon rubber corner mounts to deaden noise, and external fan speed switches.
