Project Green Lantern
It's been 10+ years since I've built a solid gaming PC. So many options and cool tech out there. What a time to be alive! Centered this build around the newly released RTX 2060.
*Update - 20 Jan
All parts but GPU came in and have been installed. Pics uploaded to show progress. I know boot up on first fire isn't an issue for some, but that's a huge accomplishment for me seeing as I've been out of the PC build scene for a long while.
*Update -23 Jan
GPU has arrived and installed. Benchmarks looking good so far! Really happy with the build!
*Update - 10 Feb
Intel Optane 32GB module added to supplement access to my game/file partition on a 7200 3.5" HDD. Performance has gone from 180Mb/s read & 190Mb/s write to 1.5Gb/s read & 315Mb/s write. Pretty significant jump in IOPS performance for a mechanical HDD.
*Update - 20 Mar
Corsair RAM has been swapped out with g.skill TridentZ RGB 3200Mhz DDR4 using the XMPII profile - Timings 16-18-18-38
*Update - 29 Mar
Corsair LL140 PWM dual loop LED fans installed in place of 120MM ThermalTake non-PWM fans. It's finally nice to be able to control RPM for top exhaust fans when not under heavy load.
