This build was based around the FormD T1 case, measuring up at under 10L in volume. Generally with small form factor custom loops, compromises need to be made on both thermal and acoustic performance. This is simply due to the lack of space for larger radiators. However, I planned to eliminate this issue by not trying to fit a radiator inside the case at all...
Introducing Outsourced, an SFF PC with a non SFF secret - providing a small footprint, silent operation, crispy cool temp, no compromise setup
Using quick disconnect fittings through passthroughs at the rear of the case, a Watercool MO-RA3 360mm radiator is introduced to the loop and hidden out of sight underneath the desk. Coolant is circulated through the system using a powerful D5 pump, cooled down by the massive surface area of the MO-RA3 with 9 Artic P12 fans running at inaudible speeds.
Since both rear holes in the case are being used for the external radiator, there is no room for the original power button. Instead, I have integrated a Honda S2000 engine start button into the left corner of my desk for powering on the PC.
