This was a project that started in March 2025 after scoring a 9950x3d from Amazon
The plan was to always build in the O11 Dynamic Mini V2 with upgraded support for ATX PSUs. Unfortunately, their release date was pushed several times
I was initially planning to re-use my water-blocked EVGA 3090 xc3, but got an email from the NVIDIA lottery for the 5090 and purchased that at MSRP without hesitation - upgrading at some point was in the plan but I didn't anticipate building all new
Last parts to figure out were PSU and Fans (as I was ready to ditch my previous gen Lian Li SL120s) and ultimately landed on the Corsair AX1500i from the tier list and the current pricing at the time. I wanted a titanium PSU with a decent overhead for efficiency curve, premium cabling included, and a 12VHPWR / 3.1 spec so this PSU was a no brainer and met a lot of requirements.
I nearly roped myself into the Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition for an all brown/noctua build but was happy to be talked out of that and not spend $650
For the fans - I went with Phanteks T30's because I wanted performance but was not prepared for how thick these boys were - it made building in the mini v2 a little challenging and forced me to go top radiator / side radiator as the vertical bracket / horizontal bracket for the GPU would not have clearance without going with the orientation you see pictured - this made the build a bit challenging but im overall happy with the result
I had intended to go horizontally mounted in this build, but the EKWB waterblock (putting the company antics aside) really is a nice-looking card
If you read this far congrats, I like to journal my builds for when I look back so this was pretty raw/unedited - if you are looking to build in the mini v2 I've tried just about every orientation so please ask if I can help
