This was my first build in quite some time. Last PC I built was using a Intel Core i7-930. I've been just using a laptop the last few years, but I finally was able to build a new desktop recently. This was my first time building with AMD, but the price/performance is pretty incredible at the moment.

Thankfully I was able to find some pretty awesome deals at MicroCenter. That $30 off motherboards when buying a CPU bundle was awesome. The Strix B450 was on sale for $104.99 and the bundle dropped another $30 off even with the sale price which I was not expecting. Also got a steal on the GPU. I was originally planning to use a GTX 1070Ti or RTX 2060, but the GTX 1080 at $380 was just too good to pass up.

Everything came together great. The Meshify C made cable management super simple and had plenty of space to work with.

I have the 2700X overclocked at 4.0 Ghz

I'm using MSI Afterburner to overclock the GPU and have the Core clock at +220 and the memory at +750. I didn't touch the power or temp limit.

I couldn't be happier with the performance. I'm able to run every thing on highest settings in 1440p no problems.
